Frank Abramson has practiced law since 1973. In addition to representing clients in litigation, he has engaged in the practice of arbitration and mediation for more than 25 years. He was raised in St. Paul and has resided in the Twin Cities since birth. He is an honors graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Business Administration, now the Carlson School of Management, with a degree in accounting, and a Cum Laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School.
Frank's trial experience includes personal injury, medical negligence, divorce, custody, discrimination, sexual harassment and commercial cases. He is also on the Minnesota Supreme Court’s Civil and Family Neutral rosters and serves on a number of other ADR panels, including those of the American Arbitration Association, the National Arbitration Forum, National Arbitration and Mediation and FINRA (formerly NASD) for the purpose of providing mediation, arbitration and other "ADR" services to represented and unrepresented individuals, lawyers and businesses. Frank is also a mediator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Minnesota Department of Human Rights.
Frank also served in the following capacities until the programs were discontinued; Hennepin County Family Court Settlement Referee and Hennepin County District Court Civil Arbitrator.
He is a member of the Minnesota State and the Hennepin County Bar Associations and the Minnesota Association for Justice (MAJ), formerly the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association. He has been active on a number of bar association committees, including service as Chairman of the Minnesota State Bar Association Community Relations Committee, long-term service on the Hennepin County Bar Association Fee Arbitration, Ethics and Ethics Screening Committees, including long service as a chair of the Hennepin County Bar Association Fee Arbitration Committee. He is also co-chair of the MAJ Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee.
Frank has been actively involved in community activities, including prior service on the St. Louis Park Cable Television Advisory Commission, where he served as chairman, and as a member of the Board and officer of the Hennepin County Division of the American Heart Association. He is also the immediate past Chair of the board, and current board Secretary of the Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company. Frank has also been a Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities and has volunteered in the Minneapolis Public Schools. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at William Mitchell College of Law from 2003 through 2006.
